Research interests

David has undertaken basic science research into the molecular pathways of Dupuytren’s disease at Oxford University as a clinical research fellow. He was awarded over £320k in personal research grants, was awarded the international Dupuytren Award for the best global scientific research paper on Dupuytren’s disease in 2020 and has published in high impact factor papers. David has also carried out clinical research, has served as the southwest trainee rep on the national committee for the reconstructive surgical trials network (RSTN), where he was a member of the steering committee for a multi-centre national cohort study. His clinical research focus is as Principle Investigatory for UHCW Trust's steering committee for the PETAL trial (partial extensor tendon apparatus lacerations).
