Lynne Nicholls qualified in 1989 from the Middlesex Hospital School of Physiotherapy. She has 30 years’ experience working as a physiotherapist specialising in musculoskeletal problems and post-operative trauma and orthopaedic rehabilitation , and 25 years specialising in hand therapy. She has specialist skills in thermoplastic splinting, scar care, wound care and functional rehabilitation.

Her special interests are in major hand trauma, particularly in the rehabilitation of tendon and nerve injuries. Lynne works in both in the therapy departments of UHCW and Rugby St Cross and also works in an advanced practitioner role alongside the Hand Surgeons in both hand trauma and elective surgery clinics.Lynne has completed the BSSH instructional course series. She is a member of British Association of Hand Therapists, and has completed many of their post graduate training opportunities including: courses in the arthritic hand, hand trauma, burns and scar care, hand assessment, radiology of the hand, and splinting. She has completed MSc Modules in injection therapy and dynamic ultrasound scanning, to enable her to perform ultrasound guided injections of the hand and wrist in our outpatient clinics.

In her spare time she enjoys pilates and walking the family dog.
